Here you are at last!

You do not think anymore about the fatigue of your journey, about the day's toil, the frantic pace of living. You have crossed a toungue of sea, have penetrated into the heart of the island, into its colours and smells, have climbed up till Marciana... You have sometimes lost hope... the sea seemed far away..., but suddenly the road has started to go down and now you are at your hotel. I see you entering the door, sometimes with your luggage, other times with your booking letter, which you have already read a lot of times to be sure that, yes, your holidays are near at hand. This moment always makes me moved: it is the beginning of a new human experience.

You have just left behind you the fatigue of the journey,
the tiredness of work,
