The fondamental laws of gardening
1. The tools of others only work in gardens of others.
2. Those beautiful and costly tools you see in the shop-windows do not work.
3. If nobody uses them, it has its reason.
4. The thing that serves less is the one that works best.
Even a small garden is a blessing. Be it a green oasis in the heart of a town, a courtyard in a village or a hanging garden, anyway it hides its own magic, its story and oneness. A small garden is a place where you can relax, exercise your imagination and cultivate your own passion without following the dictates of fashion.
With such an attitude and the will to preserve a corner of our island from the loss of traditions, due to time, which often confuses our memory and makes us forget our roots, we have approached this green space of 10.000 square metres.
The garden of our hotel, started almost for fun from the passion for flowers which my mother in law has developped for years, has become bigger and bigger , more varied and complex; it constitutes the story of our hotel's evolution.
Little paths allow the visitor to enter the heart of the park, his becoming unavoidably an interior journey. walking in the garden he may meet wonderful corners: from the "Fosso delle Osmunde", one of the biggest collections of royal fern now faced with the danger of extinction, to the "Orto di Caifa" with its intimate and tranquil athmosphere on the edge of a small pond , and the "Camino delle Fate", which suggests the idea of mythologic caverns. In other words the visitor is taken into an oneiric, artistic and imaginative world.
