Sea and Nature in the Elba Island
Our house is in Capo Sant’Andrea, one of the wildest and greenest area in the island. On foot you can arrive at the little sand beach within three minutes, for the beach is 200 metres far from here.
By car our the house takes just a twenty-minute drive from the colourful and picturesque Marciana Marina. Our place is the ideal stay for those who love relax, peace and unspoilt nature. You can enjoy both quiet and closeness to nature due to the surrounding lush garden, that gives name “botanical island” to this area, and also thanks to the “Coti Piane”, the smooth granite sea-cliffs that slope into the sea and make unique and very charming this place.
Over here spring and autumn seasons have a peculiar flavour not only for the mildness of the weather conditions and for the copious amounts of flowers, that even in May keep on covering rocks and paths, but also because here in the island you may find many trekking and mountain bike itineraries that are suitable for everybody.
Spring and autumn both have a very special flavour here, not only thanks to the mild climate and abundant flowers that cover the rocks and paths until well into May, but also because the Island offers a wide variety of trekking and mountain-bike itineraries suitable for all levels of skill.
The Grande Traversata Elbana itinerary, which runs from Cavo to Pomonte, connecting the entire Island from one tip to the other, is one of the 10 most beautiful paths in the Mediterranean: those who travel it will never lose sight of the sea, whichever stretch of the path they are on.
Being deeply in love with this island that bewitched my heart so many years ago, I can also organise for my guests, by request:
- picnics, walks and excursions amidst nature, by day or by night, in search of stars
- underwater excursions of rare beauty, thanks to one of the richest and liveliest parts of the seabed of the whole island
- snorkelling along the coast, which is capable of offering indescribable sights and emotions
- boat trips to discover the wonders of this island
